CONSERVING RESOURCES

Our primary raw material is high quality, recycled, biodegradable cartonboard – around 60% of which is produced using recycled materials. Using recycled board prevents waste going to landfill, uses less timber, and takes less energy to produce than virgin paper.

FSC® CERTIFICATION

The Forest Stewardship Council ® is an international non-governmental organisation that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests. To learn more, visit www.fsc.org.

We hold FSC chain of custody certification and we are able to source our carton board materials from well-managed forests, recycling, and other controlled sources. In turn, most of our customers can either advertise that their packaging is made from recycled material, or display the FSC ‘tick tree’ logo, which means that materials used for the product have been responsibly sourced.

CARBON FOOTPRINT

Wherever possible, we use the national logistics company to distribute finished print products, minimising fuel consumption and reducing the carbon emissions across the supply chain. For customers that have special delivery requirements, we maintain a fleet of delivery vehicles and use computer software to plan delivery routes to minimise distance travelled and vehicle emissions.

We have installed electricity monitoring equipment, and use energy efficient LED lights throughout our factory. We are constantly alert to new ways we can improve efficiency and reduce waste.

WASTE MANAGEMENT – 100% RECYCLING

When we designed our purpose-built factory, one of the top priorities was the highly efficient automatic waste extraction system. 100% of board waste from the factory is recycled.

We promote the use of environmentally friendly coatings. We have also taken steps to minimise the use of harsh chemicals in our printing processes.
